Coronavirus (COVID-19) Statement: March 20, 2020
Dear ZG Health family members,
The health and safety of our members and staff are of the utmost importance to us. Time and time again, we’ve tried to provide you with quality education, support, fitness, a sense of community, and most importantly, a safe place to focus on your health and well-being. We have been a part of the RVA community for almost 20 years and are committed to remaining a part in the coming months and years.

We can report that we still have had no known cases of Coronavirus (Covid-19) among our staff or members. We applaud your efforts to continuously clean the spaces around you, that you may have come in contact with and I am especially proud of our staff for doing such a great job of keeping our facility as sanitized as possible.
We and so many others like us, have been compelled to follow the State of Virginia’s Emergency Mandate, which has severely limited our ability to continue operations over the last week. But we all must do our part to protect the greater good, including our members, our staff, our families, our neighbors, and our fellow Virginians. We have wanted to continue providing services for as long as possible, so have been resisting the need to temporarily close, but the inevitable has finally come to pass.
As of Friday, March 20, 2020 at 8 pm, Zacharias Ganey Health Institute is temporarily closing our doors. We will reopen as soon as the Governor’s office allows. We are determined and committed to remaining a part of this great community and serving our wonderful members. Closing our doors in a temporary measure and we will be back, stronger and better than ever. We implore you to hang in there with us.
All memberships have been suspended as of Thursday, March 19, 2020 and no dues will be collected while we are closed. Credit will be applied to those in the middle of their billing cycle and we will work with everyone to alleviate their concerns. We will continue to be in touch with you by email, with a skeleton staff available to answer questions and concerns. Please bear with us as it may take time to get to everyone. There is no need to submit a freeze request at this time since we have effectively frozen all accounts. Your primary contact during this time will be our General Manager and Membership Director, Amanda Batton. She can be reached at ABatton@zghealth.com. Many of you, in a position to do so, have asked that your membership continue on even during this time. We appreciate your desire to support our staff, who are being hard hit in this crisis. If at any time you wish to discontinue paying these dues, you may email Amanda. We have truly been honored and humbled by your generosity.
We are diligently working on creating new digital content to share with you and the world on Facebook, Instagram, through emails and any other method we can potentially use. Follow us Facebook here and Instagram here. We are a family and we are here for you! We’ve already begun posting workouts on Facebook, and will continue to provide exercise, nutrition, and supportive content in the coming days and weeks. Our staff got together and created a large wish list of ideas to present to you, but if you have specific wants and needs, in terms of content, then please submit your thoughts to our Director of Exercise Science, Nick Beaudet at NBeaudet@zghealth.com . We’re working on exciting things to share with you, to keep you educated, engaged, and entertained. Stay tuned! We will get through this, together.

Yours Very Truly,

Bruce Ganey
